ABOUT ME
My name is Abby Goelzer and I am a Grief Coach and Death Doula. I have a profound love for nature and its cycles, abiding by its rhythms and the ebb and flow of all things over time. I have a unique relationship with grief and loss, having lost much of my family to all kinds of deaths between the ages of 20 and 31. In experiencing the grief of profound loss, I felt called to help others face their own unique grief with compassion and grace. My greatest desire is to walk alongside you on your path towards dying or through the forests of grief and loss. Grief leads us to our deepest truths, and it is my honor to help you uncover them.

I believe in liberating ourselves from the stories we've been told about how to live, who to be, how we should feel about death and loss, and what role grief plays in our lives.
Garnet and the Moon is a queer woman-owned business based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Wisconsin contains unceded territories of the Potawatomie, Ojibwe, Menominee, and Ho-Chunk peoples.
Please note: All Grief is Welcome Here, but Hatred is not. Garnet and the Moon will not tolerate racism, homophobia, transphobia, body shaming, fat phobia, misogyny, or hate speech of any kind at community events or during sessions.
MISSION
Death and Grief are sacred and unavoidable parts of life and living, and they can feel wild and destabilizing as we navigate all the ways we are altered by grief and death. I create space for people who are experiencing a shift in their sense of self due to loss and/or life change, help them move towards embracing the versions of themselves they are becoming, while holding sacred all that is lost or changed.
The offerings here are and will always be rooted in love - love of life, love of the rhythms and cycles of nature, and love of the fullness of the human experience.
